Begin the Begin

To begin, here's a picture of me:

Sorry to disappoint.

I take pictures. Sometimes. When I think of it. But when I do, I seem to take a whole lot of them. So I've been looking for an easy way to share my pictures without having to load them into an e-mail and sending it or, heaven forbid, print them out and actually show them to people in person. I've been using Homestead to design and post my own personal website for years but it doesn't work so well to post a lot of pictures. The magnificent Will Baxter, noted photographer, uses this to post his pictures and it seemed to work so he suggested it to me and it really is as easy as it could be to use. So I'll be posting pictures here for the time being, until something better comes along but I couldn't imagine that so much.

I've done the blogging thing before and I may return to it one day but not here and not now. I'm using this site to post pictures and that's what you'll get. Maybe some assorted comments here and there, mostly captions though. If you want to hear me talk, there are other places for that. For here: pictures.

Pictures coming soon: Halloween '06, Thanksgiving in Kentucky, a long, desolate walk in Indiana, and whatever else I take a picture of. I have a digital camera so I can take a lot.

(This is the second time I've done this. After I published the first version of this, I realized I'd spelled the title wrong and went about redoing it. Then Blogspot wouldn't accept my password and wouldn't send me an e-mail with the password then I tried to contact their customer service to get my password but it wouldn't let me do that without a password. Genius. But I'll give them another chance. But you're on probation, Blogspot.

Also, apparently Blogspot thinks it's proper to have only one space between sentences, not two like any decent typist will put. I don't care for anyone adjusting how I write. You're on thin ice, Blogspot.

Additionally, Blogspot's own name trips its spell-check.)
